Sustainable Consumption and Production Association (Thailand) or ThaiSCP has collaborated with Asia Pacific Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) to organize the 16th APRSCP Regional Conference under the theme "Bridging Net Zero Transition by SCP and Circular Economy". The event will take place on 21-23 November 2022 at Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok.
The 16th APRSCP is organized with the objectives to provide a platform for multi-stakeholders from Asia-Pacific region to share experiences and knowledge. It is also aimed at escalating the SCP and Circular Economy to achieve Net Zero Emissions targets in 2030 and 2050 as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
H.E. Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, will deliver an opening speech on the directions of international and Thailand toward Net Zero Carbon Emissions.
Dr. Mushtaq Memon, Representative of the Regional Director of UN Environment in Asia and the Pacific will give a speech about SCP and Circular Economy development in Asia and the Pacific Region.
Dr. Kitipong Promwong, President of the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) will give his speech on Collaborative Mechanism based on Science, Technology, Innovation and BCG initiatives in Thailand and the region.
While Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited will give a speech on the Role of Private Sector to achieve Carbon Neutrality and Net Zero Carbon Emissions.
During the 3-day event, participants will have a chance to meet over 40 invited speakers from more than 15 countries and also to exchange of idea and gain knowledge about innovations, best practices and lessons learned on SCP & Circular Economy to promote cooperation among the public, private and civil society.
